Camp Papillon was named after the Patsy Ann Papillon (Patt), Gerri's mother who lost her battle with cancer in 2005. Patt's daughter Gerri grew up knowing her mother's love of animals and her deep compassion for helping them in any way she could.

 

The founder, Gerri L. Papillon, began fostering pets for organizations across PA and NJ. When she would go away on vacation Patt would say that the pets where going on vacation too, they were going to camp, Camp Papillon.
